I sold my 2012 black Premium GT w/ Brembo's and 3.73's about 18 months ago, picked up a 2014 SHO as a daily driver. It's been real and it's been fun, but I missed the real fun of rowing my own gears. Finally convinced the wife that she would be happier driving the SHO daily, and traded in her Kia Sorento for a 2013 Deep Impact Blue GT w/ Recaro's and Track package. Already have an MGW shifter on the way, and looking for a set of Roush axle-backs to throw on it.

Don't get me wrong, it's a VERY nice car (which is why I didn't want to just get rid of it), but I'm more comfortable in the Recaro's than I am in the SHO, even with heated/cooled and massaging seats. For the little bit that was done to the SHO, it was quick, but it takes all the fun out of racing. Put it in S and mat the throttle. It's run a best of 13.04 @ 106 mph with 3-bar MAP, tune, and AEM drop-in filter. Great family car and long distance hauler. Perfect for the wife. LOL

She doesn't like the tint on it, says it's entirely too dark for her. She hasn't complained about the tinted head or taillights yet.

Nice cars!
Thanks!

It's the factory tri-color - Light Canyon Red, Silver, and Charcoal. I've currently got it all torn apart, doing paint and body work on it (very very slowly), once that's completed, rewiring it with a Ron Francis harness, then dropping in the TT 306 and setting it up for EFI. Made 330whp NA on this 306, looking for 500whp with the TT setup. Once i've got that dialed in, I'll figure out what to do with the SVO 351 block sitting on the engine stand.

This is what it looked like just before I tore it apart in 2012:

Mostly where it's at right now, I just finished welding in the Scott Rod Fab engine bay panels, need to do some more grinding in the engine bay, then body filler. Then I can finish sanding and start the primer stage.

This is what it looked like from the factory, and how I'm going to repaint it. I figure there were less than 3700 Capri RS's built in 1984, might as well go back to the 1-year-only color option that it came with:

Thanks! It definitely goes sideways a lot easier :D

Thanks, but mine has the Recaro seat option, so no stripes in the seats for me! Also, no heated seats (can't have comfort package with Recaro's), but I can live without that.
