I have used 15x8 Draglites 5 1/2" backspacing for years with a 26x10 ET Drag, but now I need a bigger tire. So I got some 15x10's with 6 1/2" backspacing and they don't fit worth crap. The outside of the wheel sticks out about 1/4 to 1/3". I think it will look terrible with the tires mounted.
I am thinking about custom Bogarts, perhaps a 15x9 1/2 with 7" bs. What do you guys think and/or what are you using?

Thanks,
Kirk

BTW, I have stock length Moser 31 spline axles, Wolfe Racecraft suspension, Stock springs and slightly rolled fender lips.

Pics?
Very impressive times, I hope to run low 6's with the new motor, check out my site in the sig if you get a chance. What Bogarts do you have? I plan on D-10's or billet lite's.

Thanks,
Kirk

1. 15x10's with 6 1/2" backspacing = 3.5" sticking out from axle (current)
2. 15x9 1/2 with 7" bs = 2.5" sticking out from axle
3. 15x9 bogarts with 28x10.5 MT and a 6'' backspacing = 3" sticking out from axle (cobra0393's)

Your current sticks out 1/4 to 1/3" too far. So, looks like you would be good to go with either 0393's setup, or with the one you mentioned. The only thing I would worry about would be option #2 - seems like it would be getting awful close inside the fenderwell/quad shock area.

Also, the 28" slicks can sometimes get a little close to the ground effects due to their overall diameter, but 0393 didn't mention any probs, so it's prob. OK.

I removed the quad shocks many years ago and I also realize that I may have to "work" the inner fenderwell, depending on the sidewall width of the tire I use. I will also be adding the Wolfe adjustable lower control arm which should help if I need to center the tire to give a little more clearance.
Thanks for the input.
