Backup camera not working with raxiom tail lights

Camera worked with factory tails. After installing raxiom v2 tail lights the headunit screen is stuck on a blank camera screen, and when in reverse the camera works. I tried the red wire and then the green w/ white stripe. Same result, and same as using the other tail light. Anyone else experience this? Im trying to avoid using a switch for the reverse camera.

So the head unit shows a blank screen when you're not in reverse? Is it an aftermarket head unit?
