I beleive I would have flown it once and said "yep, it flies" and then sold it for a stupid amount of money to somebody and let THEM crash it.

I also don't fly R/C's anymore, because of this reason.

I bet he forgot to put up the antenna on his transmitter. I've done it before and had the same thing happen. Luckily my R/C plane is made of foam so it just bounced off the ground.. :-D
