Stupid question, but what the heck are they there for? I got my cat-back installed... noticed they were there. Removed 'em. Sounds exactly the same. Put 'em back. Again. I can't tell any difference. So......... anyone?

I think they are a little quieter when in. At the dyno I got 6 more rwhp with them removed. Also may lessen the drone.
what are u guys talking about, what can be removed for more power??

I can def tell the differance when my baffles are out. I have a vert which has a little more interior noise though. But, I love it louder and leave them out also.
how do u take them out? and where are they located?
They are right inside the tip. They are held in by a single allen head screw on the bottom of the tip. Not sure what size right of hand. But remove the screw and pull the baffle out.
The lights on top are pretty numerous here, can you say 6 per 2 mi. so they are in with additional fiberglass pipe wrap. I have a x o/r though. Allen head screw, then take them out with a little force.
I thought the back pressure from them being in made more trq?

THe loss is minimal, at that. THe day I put mine on, I left them in. That lasted about a week. Yanked those suckers out, and LOVE the sound difference!!!
