I just installed a optima yellowtop battery and left the stock blanket/cover whatever the heck it is off. I think it looks better with it so is there any aftermarket choices or options? My stock one is dirty looking and shows up more with this aftermarket battery. My car is a 2011.

You can also get the JLT battery cover, paint matched to your car. You can see it in my sig.

After changing out my factory battery I wrapped the new one with 3M Carbon Fiber wrap and deleted the blanket. It cleans up the battery area on my 08 Alloy.

I've used Optima batteries before, and they are bullet proof. The heat shield is there more for the lead acid types, IMHO, but I can understand wanting to keep it stock looking under the hood.
