I managed to get 6 runs in @ Beaver Springs recently.
ran a consitent 13.8-13.9, my 60fts were 2.10-2.33 running on street tires. Trap speeds ranged from 99-102mph.
On the last pass the motor quit as I let off after the traps. I coasted down the end of the track and then tried to turn onto the pit lane without power steering. (I'm glad I was in the outside lane)
Apparently 6 passes was 1 too many for the Demon carb. The secondaries refuse to close, and keep dumping fuel at idle.
"If you didn't break something, you weren't trying."
So now I have a diesel Cougar.:fart:
