So the other day I was driving my 06 kenne bell supercharged gt. I realized I was going the wrong way so about 20 mph I went into 2nd and did a 180. After I spun around and was at about 3 mph I shifted to 1st and my drive belt came off.... This has never happened to me before and I am fairly good at driving and haven't had any problems. Any ideas as to why this happened?

On my corvette I had the belt fall off when i'd go WOT replaced it never happened again, your could have slipped off when you went WOT too? Change the belt and it shouldn't be a problem i'd think.
I might do that. Should I go a size smaller or just replace it?
How long have you used this belt? If for quite a while just replace.
I just recently bought that car. But the belt seems to be in good condition. I would guess less than 12k miles on it.
This is a known issue with the s197 Kenne Bell kits throwing belts. ST Motorsports has a fix for it, call them up.
I tried calling st motorsports and they said they only deal with rims and tires. I couldn't find any other st motorsports.
Check s197 forum for the info. I know it's out there. They may have changed their name.
