Hello,

I am new to the Truck Performance world. But not new to the world of performance cars.

I have a 2000 Lightning and I wanted some advice on what the best performance (horse power, acceleration, etc.) modifications/parts were available for under a grand.

So give my your best modification package that you would do if you only wanted to put up $1000 right now.

thanks

JDM Chip = good for at least 5 tenths.
JDM 90mm filter kit = good for at least 2 tenths.

nitrous
slicks or et streets and rims

Since you already live in NJ your close to Jim so your all set. All you need is some money half, a day and a short drive.

Where are you from in NJ?

I live in Monmouth County, New Jersey.

I have nver been to JDM, where are they.

I have been to Crazy Horse and have used Outrageous Mustang(Big Daddy Dwayne) and Jimmy LaRocco.

Any feedback on JDM would be great.

thanks

You are lucky to live so close. I'm driving 500 miles down to Texas to meet him and his group. I know others have driven much further. JDM is in Freehold and you're in Monmouth Co. If I were the jealous type I would be really pissed :rolling:

Don't be jealous, just because I live in the best area for Ford Performance Tuners, like Jimmy LaRocca, Dwayne Gutridge(big daddy), Crazy Horse and JDM:rolling:

I just called and spoke to Julie. As they are packing up their new trailer for their ten day trip to texas I am going to drive the 40 minutes over there tomorrow and see what I can spend more money on:)

I want to get the 2K L tuned and modified a little and then see about tuning my 87 Mustang GT Conv, my track car (400rwhp, naturally aspirated)

I can't wait for tomorrow. I better not forget my checkbook.

Thanks to everyone that answered me, but I've found the answer and their name is JDM Engineering:r:

The answer is also to do it right you need $2000.

I got the cold air induction with 90 mm MAF and JDM cone filter as well as the Superchip.

Now to complete the package I will get the new water pump, electric fan and 31/2 pound lower pulley.

That should complete it for me

THANKS
