Best streetable auto trans

In anybody's own experience what is the best auto trans for good streetability?

Any trans will have good streetability. Probably depends more on the converter. If you do a lot of highway driving you might want an overdrive trans. More of a personal preference.

Streetable is an abused term. My car is "streetable" but is a TH400 swap, my car made more power than I felt ok with a 4R holding. If you are in the 500-900rwhp a 4R is probably the best "Streetable" trans as it has OD and is affordable to swap in.

Depends on your hp goals. TH400 is pretty affordable to handle big power while the 4R is cheap if you are making less than 600.

Turbo 400 with a gear vendor! Haven't seen one on a cobra, but work great on the cars I've worked on. >1100hp cars at that.

Gear vendors is incredibly expensive and drops the rpm by a few hundred. I just used bigger tires and more power lol.

Depends on goals, what you are using the car for and power. I loved my TH400 on the street. Do you do alot of highway driving? Do you care if your RPMS are @ 3500 or so when cruising @ 75 on the highway?
