Big 3 wire kit write up?

Is there a thread on how to make your own big 3 wire upgrade? How much $$$ difference are we talking vs buying a kit or making one yourself?

I'm in the process of doing this myself. I found a Youtube video or two, but I'm not aware of a writeup. My wiring is not the neatest looking and I didn't trust my ability to make good crimps on large diameter wire. I ordered custom terminated wires through CE Auto Electric Supply, based on my measurements and routing paths. I probably spent $100 -$150 to get the alternator wire to battery, engine to frame, battery to frame, and battery to engine grounds.
