Ever watch that show on the Travel Channel? That guy eats pretty much anything you give him. Got me thinking... what is the most bizzare thing you have ever eaten and did you like it?

1. Escargot - Not bad, taste like Mussels
2. Frogs Legs - Really does taste like Chicken
3. Scorpion - Kinda gross.... like rotten crab
4. Chitlins - Gross! Smells and tastes like a barnyard
5. Gator - Love it! Again similar to Chicken

Some of the stuff he seems to like, I'm pretty sure I couldn't handle. I've tried a good bit of stuff and normally I've found it's more in how it's cooked. Like chitins...had some that tasted really bad..and had some that was fine.
I can do any seafood I've ever tried, or ever heard of. Even blow fish, although I heard it's farm raised and doesn't have the poison. Suppose to have a numbing/tingling effect, which it did...but not sure if it was the fish or my mind.

Never had Scorpion...never even heard of eating it. You ordered this somewhere?
I really want to try snake, and elk.

Great show, the way he explains the food and shows you the culture of those countries is very interesting. I thought that fruit he ate that almost made him barf sounded gross. Durian fruit, he said it tasted like mushy onions... [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Durian]Durian - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

Love the show. The man has balls of steel.

I will eat / try just about anything but mostly make my decision on texture and taste, I dont care what it is as long as it tastes good and is OK to eat.

Any insect would be where I draw the line. Then again, Lobster and Crabs look allot like big insects. Funny how much people love both of these yet they are one of the most disgusting looking creatures ever.

I dropped my pancake breakfast sandwich on the floor of my truck picked it up and ate it, that was pretty strange.

Ive eaten most game including bear, every kind of sushi possible, escargot, caviar, fois gros and even prairie oysters when I was younger. Squirrel on a survival camp when I was 12. We cooked up 3 or 4 so didnt get much. Tasted ok

Finally had gator last year in Georgia (yummy!!) Even got a couple guys from down south who had never eaten it to try it.

Ive pretty well tried anything that has been put in front of me and always on the lookout for more. I live in a pretty multi cultural area so my buddies fro Alberta are shocked at what I call normal . I brought curried goat camping last year and everyone could not get enough, lol.

It hurts me to watch that show. I just know I'd never want to kiss that man.

Okay, escargot - I've eaten it, but it's been a long time.
Frogs Legs - Out of all, I like frogs' legs the best.
Scorpion - no! I hate those things-wouldn't think of eating them.
Chitlins - Never eaten this or menudo either.
Gator -had it, but I didn't like it. Seemed tough. Maybe it was an old gator.

You are missing out. Elk is delicious!! I've eaten quite a bit of it.

Heard it's good...and better than deer. Suppose to go hunting sometime in the future with my boss and a co-workers. Hopefully I'll try some then.

Ostrich is probably the most different from what I expected. I was thinking maybe a gamey chicken, but it really tasted like a high end beef steak.
