Has anyone else blown a plug, and what did you do to fix it and Did it last. Any info would be great

i used the time-sert kit and ive had no problems so far its been about a year
only thing is they are not cheap about $350-$400 compared to a $12 helicoil lol
i could rent it to you if you're interested do some research ive read the time-sert are the longest lasting

Helicoil is still a PITA unless u hav the heads off and ready to go but it its is the only way to repair a boogered up SP thread. once it's done its money! works great.
forgot to add with the time-sert you dont need to remove the head which is a big plus
i used a heli-coil in mine.
