Didn't someone on here use the BMR control arms with a Maximum K member? I'm curious what was needed. If anything at all.

While torquing the driver front wheel I noticed it's moving a little more than it should. I know, it shouldn't move at all. But I have a new set of BMR control arms in the garage I could throw in. Plus I've been debating on running arms that would pull the front tires back into to stock position.

I highly recommend an aftermarket k member. It makes getting to things on the bottom so much easier. I've always preferred the MM set up since I drive the car on the street. The only thing I didn't like was having to use the oil filter relocation. I was going to switch to the BMR, but after they took forever and never really fixed the issues that were reported I decided to keep what I have.

I just remember reading that the MM K can only use the MM control arms. But looking at pics I think I can use the BMR arms. Which is a plus since I have a new pair in the garage I can't return or get rid of. Plus the BMR arms are stock length. The MM arms are .200" longer to widen the track width. I go back and forth about wanting to pull the tires back into the fender like stock.

I had a UPR mild steel on my 2001 GT and I liked it. I daily drove that car on that K member for a few years.

My cobra will probably get the MM with coil overs.

Where are you getting the information that they are .200” longer than stock? All of the information I can find on MM’s site says the standard offset are the same as stock and forward offset move the wheel .75” forward. MM’s K member moves the wheel .75” forward on its own.

You should be fine to use the BMR tubular arms; MM’s arms fit the stock K member.

I am curious as to where you're getting your info regarding the control arms being .200 inch longer?

I just reviewed both the control arm and k member instructions and the only mention of increasing track width being the k member increasing it .100 inch per side.

I'll do some measuring when I get everything apart. Maybe I misread something. TBH I installed this set up back in 2016. So it's been a minute. But I do remember my toe being way out of whack. And everyone noticed the front tires pushed out after the install.

Edit: I think I remembered what it was. After doing the install I think I asked them about running the fox control arms to bring the wheels back into the fenderwell. That might be what I'm thinking of now.

Got under the car today and you guys were right. The control arms are the same length. The issue I see is that the BMR control arms have bigger bushings that won't clear the K member if you use the top hole. They'll probably be fine if you use the bottom hole.

But I'm low and want to use the top hole. So I threw the BMR arms up for sale and I'll get new bushings for the MM arms.
