Yes, see my signature. Easy swap in an afternoon. Moser all the way. Got it with 3:73's and drove it for 15 miles and put in 4:11's. Much more fun and you can actually use 6th gear! You do have to change the drive shaft, but DynoTech has the correct aluminum one with 1350 joint in the rear and a 1330 joint in the front. FYI.

Dale, was the shaft you swapped in with the 9" shorter than a one piece that bolts to an 8.8"?

I know they put a 9inch in the Shelby1000, I think they use Strange as well.

I was at Moser and viewed the S-1000 and it had a Moser stamped 9" housing installed in it. This is why I put the 9" in my car instead of beefing up the existing 8.8" factory rear end. The suspension work was unbelievable and likely cost a small fortune. FYI.

Truly building the 8.8 as I have outlined and done is going to cost a huge percentage of this.
You can actually swap in the 9" as Dale has and sell your stock CF shaft and '13-14 spec 8.8 to recoup most; this way can actually be LESS than building your stock 8.8
If you know you'll make huge power and/or drag race regularly, honestly just drag regularly and the 9" is the better option.
Hell, if the 9" can handle it and NOT have gear whine, it's enough for me.
