The land of commies and socialists!
Being morbidly obese and having Type-2 Diabetes is also surprisingly unhealthy.

One could also make a similar argument for injecting TRT or Tren. From what I've read Ozempic does require a huge life style change as it's basically a chemical bariatric surgery. So over eat some greasy pizza and you in for a night of agonizing stomach cramp and constipation.

I'm sure I'm sounding like a "libtard" but I think conservatives do need to start acknowledging problems and coming up with "conservative" solutions. Telling people "get ****ed it's your fault" just pushes them into the arms of communism.

Semaglutide IS going to break the healthcare industry. Most of this country is obese and millions more are going to want to be on semaglutide. At $1400/M and with more and more insurance refusing to pay, it's insane. Meanwhile, Europeans are paying ~$90 - $200/M retail because of the negotiated rates. Novo Nordisk is just like "**** it, charge the Americans more lolzzzz".
I am not saying being morbidly obese or having type 2 diabetes is healthy.

So does TRT or tren have the potential for similar life altering side effects?

Funny you say Ozempic requires a lifestyle change because I have a coworker who is on it.

Based on his lunches and watching him pound down pizza I think I can say he hasn't changed his at all. He hasn't complained about any issues on it.

I'm not saying you're wrong btw. Just saying I know someone who's not doing that and probably should.

The question for him is what's the dose and is he losing any weight?

As for going off and gaining weight back. Semaglutide works by triggering hormones to kill your appetite and make you feel full. The "nice part" is it doesn't cause your metabolism to get triggered and slow down because your body thinks it's starving like fasting does. Your body just thinks it's got plenty of food and the calories deficit drives weight loss.

Going off Semaglutide is going to cause your appetite to return. If you increase your calories you're going to put weight back on.

No different then any other "diet". Go to the gym 3 days a week, eat nothing but boiled chicken and TRT.... Lose 60lbs... And stop and go back to Pizza and Tacos. Guess what's going to happen.

I find these fat chicks loosing weight mind blowing and it just reaffirms my opinion. Russian chicks aren't magically hot, they are just normal sized and dress nice with long hair.

As for our food industry. There is something to say that rampant obesity didn't exist prior to the 1990's. People back then didn't go to the gym 3 days a week, count their calories, carried water bottles everywhere and spent all day starving and craving for food.

You'll also find plenty of antedotic stories of people going to Europe or Japan and losing weight with minimum effort or routine changes. I lost 5 lbs from being in Russia for 2wks while eating like a king.

There is something very very wrong with our food industry.

One thing I see is work ethic. Or that there is none now. The most average person we have says that because they have been on the payroll (can't say worked, gotta show up and actually do something) they deserve to be a supervisor.
Not that I care now, but in 19 months, I really won't care.

I think most people know exactly what you're saying already regarding tech. It's been widely known for some time now.

What I don't think most understand about processed foods is when you stop eating that shit and go back to it even for a short time it physically hurts.

During my vacation I pretty much ditched my carnivore diet and the pain not only after I ate but also in the morning was horrible. My wife felt the same way.
This for sure on the processed foods. If i slip too far off my line i walk i pay for it. Real healthy foods are like top self premium gas for the body. Processed food is like stopping at a hood store for bottom self regular. Im just sluggish and feel like crap the rest of the day. Fortunately, i dont have many days like that anymore. When you eat healthy long enough, you reach a point where you dont even want the bad foods anymore

Lucky I'm @ the stage in my life, ( 74 ), that I don't have to fit in any more.
Wouldn't make in today's military.....( retired in 1989 )
Pretty sure I wouldn't be successful in the Co. I left in 2008.
Seems like every day I hear something more stupid, than the day before, like a ( 4 day school week ), last Thursday.
.......................If all of this stuff is progress, where is the improvement ?
Wait till all of the trend setters get to be my age & find out things didn't work out the way they planned..

I would argue that America has the worst food of all the developed countries. It takes real effort and dedication to eat right. Most don’t have the willpower to do it. It’s almost like they want to keep you weak while maximizing profits or some shit.
It is hard to eat healthy. I live in the south where EVERYTHING is quick and deep-fried. The drywall company i work for is a small family owned business. Only 4 real employees, the rest are Hispanic subs. The three of them look at me at lunchtime like.....where are we going? Cause they know im not fixing to eat crap. Luckily, they've accepted the way i am about it and dont harp on me too badly

The flip side of eating healthy unless you meal prep is it cost an arm and 3 legs to eat out healthy. Because you're not eating fast food you have to be vigilant about the restaurants you eat at and check the menus closely

We watch what we eat also. Really have cut way back on the carbs, no fried anything and only have steak once in a while. The air fryer has become our friend with meats and veggies.

I subscribe to a local meal prep service and the food is extremely fresh and healthy but it costs.
Down here in Naples I eat out a few times a week couple of dinners and a breakfast here and there and it’s very easy to eat healthy but its not cheap.
I eat lots of eggs in the mornings and every meal has some kind of animal protein at least twice a day. I also use protein supplements about two times a day.

People weren’t eating every meal out in the 90’s either. Americans no longer cook for themselves. That and the widespread adoption of never ending cable tv and internet streaming have killed the American waste line. Parks used to be packed with people every evening in the 90s and neighborhoods were full of people walking outside. Now it’s empty streets with houses full of the glow of televisions while Uber eats pulls up to every house. The 90s were peak America

Here's something I've found since I stopped drinking about 3mo ago now. Used to drink beer every day, usually 6-12 beers a day after work, and I was reaching the point where I felt I was nearing the tipping point for weight as I was just hitting 190lbs. I didn't look overweight but it was nearing that point where I felt things could start cascading. When I came down with Shingles, drinking beer like normal wasn't enticing so I used that time to cut out alcohol and I lost the craving for it after about a week.

I never craved sugar when I was drinking regularly which I thought was a little odd because I loved candy as a kid and always had access to it at the rink, but my parents usually kept me in good check. Since I stopped drinking I crave sugar every day and now I'm trying to control that like it's another addiction. Dropped 25lbs since cutting beer and I don't want to lose anymore. I'm at my natural weight so I need to manage and stay where I'm at now.

Bam, same here. I'd kill for some M&M's, cookies, ice cream and shit now. Wife won't buy it, cause I'll find it and kill it. Good black licorice is a huge weakness with me too.

We eat out maybe 4-5 times a year.
Everything else is home cooking.
Things like the Holidays are big family get together's involving grilling/BBQ, so still home cooked. Very little processed food, mostly scratch made.
Quit drinking any alcohol first of April, and quit adding salt to food last week. I am a salt-aholic, I salt the hell out of everything. Quitting adding salt to everything is far harder than not drinking alcohol. My blood pressure was on the high side and figured it could not hurt to clean things up a bit, especially since I am going to have a knee replaced in August. My BMI is 29, not great, but lower than the max of 40 that they allow going into surgery.

For me it's been Hi-Chew with the Dragon Fruit and Acai flavors. I never cared for those before but those are delicious. Then Oreo McFlurries and Red Bulls. At least I'm drinking the Red Bulls in place of coffee and everything else as a morning kickstart.

No clue what any of that except the MD thing, and haven't been there in at least 20 years. I literally will not touch the energy drinks. Shit makes my heart race. I'm probably 15 years older than you, at least.

I don't see much change when I go out in public. People are still generally the same. Some people here needed to make a life style change to better themselves and they did. Many will chose not to. Same story but a different day. For those who did, I am happy for you. I went from 198 to 170ish.

If I turn off the news, internet etc things are fine besides the cost of living. Hopefully the oil field doesn't tank this year and I get laid off yet again. I can see it happening being an election year.

Going to bed at a proper time and getting up at the same time really helps. No coffee nor energy drinks needed. Just stay busy and active.
