Is a boost a spark needed for 1100-1200hp? I have a stock ignition currently and a set of ngk's. I am looking to have Kurgan tune my car next month and want to make sure everything is in order! Just fired up the new motor for the first time last sunday and sounds great! Cant wait to see the numbers!

I am using one on my car and have not had an issue. it was installed as insurance more then a need.

I think most shops recommend looking into a standalone at over 1000rwhp for engine protection and logging. I know mine is.

Just my first hand experience from having Bob tune my car several times, I'd suggest you call and ask him directly whether or not he feels you need one. He a very direct type of guy that will tell you exactly what you need for your setup and nothing more. Could save you some money and it should make the tuning experience much easier and quicker...
