The land of commies and socialists!
I recently bought a set of brake ducts for my car that didn't come with hoses. So I started looking around for some.

I have found two temp ratings based on the construction. One is up to 300 degrees and the other is 550 or 600. Obviously the lower temp ones are less expensive. Now I am wondering if the higher temp hose is really needed? I Have heard of people running dryer duct but I figured I'd ask anyway.

Thanks.

I can tell you that most of my friends and others I run with at the track use the Black Neoprene hose. Never seen anyone have a problem. It is rated at around 300 degrees. The silicone (rated at 600+) is overkill in my opinion. Though I would suggest getting the 2 ply Neoprene hose, Pegasus racing sells it at a decent price.
P.s. Nothing wrong with overkill if you want the extra security.

We'll see. Ive got one set of plates left and the plan was to go to a carbon fiber plates but that was before my AI race car decided to break back in July. Im still trying to get that engine repaired and back in the car.

I really just dont have much time anymore. I was driving home from work tonight thinking about this and my thought is to just do a redesign then build the plates out of aluminum.

4" Brake Duct Hose

I am looking for this particular hose. I have searched high and low but can't seem to find it. Anyone know the brand and who has it? TIA.

Thanks all for the replies. Much appreciated.
I do have other hose, including some NASCASR hose, but I really like this stuff. It flexes very easily, yet does not bind at all. It keeps its full diameter causing no restriction.
