why did Ford leave from the t56 anyway? It works, why change it

I took my car to the dealer today and they said that the oasis report said that the trans grinding into gear was a known issue and their engineers were working on a solution so my trans remains untouched. All I can hope for now is for the damn thing to fails before 36,000/36 or for their engineers to find a solution.

Money. The MT82 is much cheaper, and it shows.

Not saying you did it, or anyone did it, you can see a score on the countershaft where the syncro teeth are. Like I said its possible something was floating around in there and found its way between the countershaft and syncro teeth. Its not easy to break just a few of those teeth off and leave most intact by beating on it.

It's certainly possible.. like I said, the car had some mileage on it when I got it from a dealer transfer deal. So, who knows.. As long as they take care of it, I'm good.
