Your seriously thinking about gettin one of those fake v6 ones? You can get a used 03 for fairly cheap since the new 05 gt's are coming out. You will regret it I guarantee it.

I think Ford reduced the collectability potential of the Mach 1 by a great margin when they decided to continue it for '04. If I were buying a mach 1, I would get a used azure blue and build it how I want. There are some damn quick machs out there with just bolt on stuff.

You will be paying for it, but it's not truly your own until you build it the way you want it to be.

The only thing I would change if buying a real Mach 1 would yanking the motor and dropping the comp. ratio and then install a supercharger.

If going with a V6 in order to make a clone, need to swap-
brakes- Cobra/Bullitt 13"
spare- large enough to clear the brakes
transmission/clutch
Do V6s come with a 8.8 rear end? ABS?
Gauge cluster
Seats- front & rear
The body panels that are around side/rear windows (Bullitt/Mach only)
Rear wing, painted flat black
Hood w/shaker assembly
Grill delete kit
Mach 1 emblem for rear, but I wouldn't do this since it's a fake.
Decal kit, again I wouldn't put Mach 1 on sides since it's a fake.
Tokico shocks that are mach 1 specific
Springs that are Mach 1 specific
Exhaust that is Mach 1 specific
A set of Mach 17 x 8 Wheels & Tires too.
Don't forget a 32valve DOHC 4.6 Mach motor 10.1 comp.

I'm sure there is more.....

Forget the dealerships they are idiots, go to mach1registry.com and look in the classifieds. You will find some great deals.

Damn you found either a desperate or stupid owner:eek:

Check around Greenville, Goldsboro and Wilmington. I know Hastings (in G-ville) had a few Machs. Team Ford in Tarboro NC has a black one for sale. But the Bargain Trader has had a few in there for low/mid 20s.

I don't see how you could feasibly make a Mach for under what you would normally pay for a used or even new one under sticker. It's one thing to take a v6 and throw in a monster motor and make it a dragster, but to make a full up Mach out of it and then some? I would just get one and mod it.

If I were you Id definitely try to get the real deal. If you buy a V6 it will just as expensive and soooo much work to get it to look like a Mach...then after all of that...it still isnt a Mach
