Well as some of you may know my stock motor let go not long ago so its time for a rebuild. I like to do things one time so this will be quite an expensive build...but its cheaper to do it once the right way than twice the wrong way.
Im looking to make 900hp on boost and then hit it with a 100 shot. I want to put the car in the mid 9's with the 6 speed/IRS conservatively for now and eventually go auto/solid axle and have what should be an 8sec street car.
I already placed an order with MMR for their 1000S with the Boss block upgrade which makes it a 5.3. I also ordered a set of Livernois Stage 3 ported heads with oversize valves. Waiting on the funds for the blower and fuel system and other little things.
Looking for some opinions/suggestions on a few things though...
Any suggestions on what cams to run? I know I should probably go custom grind but Im open to anything.
Not sure if my 1 3/4" headers will be big enough or should I sell them and go with 1 7/8" and a full 3" exhaust?
What boost should I see with that motor/head combo and a 3.5 upper & 2lb lower? Im not sure what pulleys to order... I want to run roughly 20psi on pump gas and 28-30psi on C16.
