building a return style system?

Has anyone ever made their own return style fuel system,? I imagine you'd only need to run a return from the rails and fuel pressure regulator back to the tank. But what do you do about the fpdm? Do you just run a feed power wire from the fpdm to the pumps so they run full bore? Obviously you'd want a source that's hot all the time the car is on rather than the factory after fpdm line which varies. Any thoughts?

You would have to put a fitting on the tank for the return line..imo much easier to just buy a new fore or div x hat with a return port built into the hat. The fpdm is shit canned in a return system so simply unplug it ,leave it there . Or sell it to a member here. Return systems the pumps run full time so u want power and a ground also a fuse or relay.

U can get a nice budget return system from lethal for around 800 bucks...that takes guess work out of it. Good luck
