Considering building a stout 2V motor. Just wanted to see what kind of combos others are running. I'm a nitrous user so it will be a high compression motor but I'd like hear what anyone is running.

does nobody on this site have a built 2V in their car? jeez!

Hmmmm, me:-D

old combo 1996 Cobra block and crank, Manley Rods, Ross pistons. short block was built by SHM back in 1999. SVO heads, Crane Custom ground cams, SVO intake, electric water pump, L/T headers, MSD & Moroso ign, Canton pan and tray, DOHC oil pump and more. car went 11.90's@114

new engine combo, being built, as we speak by Jason Steen of Steen Racing in Norfolk, Va
same 1996 Cobra block, Cobra crank(lightned), GRP aluminum rods, Diamond pistons(custom dome) for @14.1 comp, same SVO heads re-worked 'n flowed by Jason Steen, custom ground Comp cams, Steen Racing light-weight valve train, DOHC GT followers, Reichard Racing intake, Accufab Trttlbdy, Kooks stepped headers and much more. all going to a PA built C4 wth a brake and 6k stahl convertor backed by a 4.88's wth a spool. how's that:burnout:

we'll see how it runs on motor, then hit it wth a 200/250 shot:pepper:

P.S. to-be tuned by Chris Johnson of SCT/JMS:bowdown:

Comp cams, Long Tubes, built long block by DSS,Vortech SQ-trim @14, Vortech Aftercooler, stock heads still, 75mm throttle body, plenum, and a damn good tune and right now I'm putting 600rwhp and 550+rwtq and there is still more power to be made with bigger injectors.

Heres my mod list

2002 V6 mustang-
ZEX 100 wet shot
4.10's/detroit locker
xcal2
MAC LT's
dual exhaust w/ 40 series flows
ASP UDP's
CAI

Right now the motor is pretty much stock but I have big plans.:)

Edit- Why would you want high comopression with juice? Power adders respond better to low compression.

Nice number SQ Stang. Do you have any times?

No, not with the new #'s. I just worked 72.5 hours this week and if I know I'll be off on the next few saturday's then I'll make a trip to get my car retuned with 60lb injectors and then the next week is on to the track. But I will for sure post up my times when I get them.
