Knew that would be a close race from the title. Stripped and turbo'd those little Civics can scoot pretty good.

Damn, little d15 crushed that lightning. Soon as it gripped it tore past the truck.

The lightning still loses badly...?

Are you watching the same video we are? The first race was even and the second race it didn't pull till 4th gear, how fast do you think they were going at that point?

That lightning on a tire would stomp that car from a dig.

Damn! That's a lot of power for being a d15.

That's what I thought. It's gotta be getting pushed hard to make that kind of power out of 90-95 cubic inches.

indeed , the thing is a science experiment that usually comes apart. took several motors and trial and errors to break the 400hp goal. next step is making it work on the street/track

Are you blind? The Lightning got YANKED as soon as the boost kicked in. Clearly you don't know anything about turbo Hondas, watch how hard the thing pulls up top for God's sakes. A dig would delay the inevitable, the Civic would RUN past that truck at 80 instead of 60.

You must not be watching the same video. And you must not know how well lightnings launch. Lighting would eat that car up from a dig. Sure, it might get passed 1000' down the road at 100+ mph. First race looked like a tie. Second race looked like the civic pulled a couple car lengths over the course of 3 gears. Wow, totally yanked, right??

You guys are blind. Seen plenty of lightnings run. Nothing spectacular. That civic pulled hard. Give it it's due. Lightning doesn't have a chance.

Am I the only one who hates how these things constantly pop and sound like rods should be shooting through the hood?

My built Lightning with a 2.3L Whipple was a 10 second truck that could launch on the street. That Honda would get it's ass drug from a dig and it wouldn't be passing it at 80mph. The Honda has a great power to weight ratio but until it can put the power down that's just the reality.
