Hello everyone. I need some help. I noticed the passenger side foglight was not working. At first, I thought it was a burnt bulb. I tested and the positive 12V had power, but the negative turn out to be without power. I followed the cable under the wheel well lining and it was burnt and other cables as well. I need advise from you if you think this is a common problem and if I should contact Ford and have the harness replaced by them or if I should just buy it and do it myself. it looks like something shorted the wires and melted the sheath of the cables. Car drives normal other than the foglight not turning on everything seems fine.
thanks in advance for your imputs.

Have someone who knows about electrical components and electricity in cars look at it. I get the impression that's not you based on the question. The last thing you need is an under hood fire started by an electrical short. That situation needs to be corrected and the source of the problem found and corrected too.
