I'm going to the dealer near me that have more than a handful of GT premium in stock. My question that I have is how many of you guys bought the car with the GT performance package or are just going to mod it yourself down the road.

I've heard people say the new stock brakes aren't bad either

I bought mine with the PP. I'm unsure what mods I'll be doing or if I just upgrade to a GT350 next year.

I can change out the diff when I do the half shafts. I'm gonna drive her stock for a year to make sure nothing happens that the warranty won't cover

The brembos and torsen alone are well worth it.

This.

But this too. Most of the chassis guys I've talked to at Ford actually prefer the standard GT brakes. I want to upgrade to the Brembos eventually, but I really want to see how well the standard 4-piston fronts handle track duty first.

I had no choice, I went auto.

Figured it was less of a head ache to put together a PP than to install an auto.

The standard brakes are awesome, definitely better than my prior 12' brembo brakes. Haven't driven the new PP to compare however.
