C&L MAF vs. Secondary Intake Valves

I have a 96 Cobra...

I recently installed a C&L MAF unit.

Now when the secondary intake valves are supposed to open at 3250 rpm, my car loses power for a split second, and quickly regains.

It almost feels like I have no spark for that very short period of time.

Has anyone else had this problem??

Also, if I hang out aroud 3250 rpm on purpose, bringing the engine speed up and down out of that range. You can hear the computer clicking every time I hit that particular engine speed.

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks.

Did you reset the computer after installing the meter?

Simply unhook the negative terminal from you battery and let it sit from anywhere between 5 - 15 minutes. This should clear any codes and garbage that is back logged in your computer.

Yup, I did that when I installed my C&L a few weeks ago and I haven't had any problems out of it. Nice power gain though:thumbsup:

Sorry for the delay in response.

Yes, I reset the computer. Unhooked the battery all night.

On the drive to work it ran perfect. It was the first time it has been "seamless" in a while. I was pretty happy about it. But...

On my way home from work, it was at it again. Damn thing.

I'm sure it has something to do w/ the C&L that's "calibrated for stock electronics" not being so.

Any other opionons? I can't believe I'm the only sucker this is happening too.

I Meant to say ". . .happening to."
