Quick question for LEO guys... Is it worth the time to call in incidents to county/dispatch? I have had 2 people arrested after I called in and followed them due to DUI (1 drugs and 1 Alchohol Related) so I know it's a good thing to call in major swerving/erratic driving behaviour and I will continue to do so.

What leads me to my question is....

This morning on my way to work a vehicle came off a side road at ~20mph and blew a stop sign cutting me off while entering the highway. Obviously I was a little ticked but I stayed cool and thought about if I should bother calling them in. One part of me knows they broke the law but I also know that an officer usually has to observe the infraction unless the person just admits to it. (correct?)... if that is the case then me calling them in is pretty much a waste of time (moreso the officers/dispatchers and not my own).

Thoughts on this?
