My 03 cobra was tuned with 490 rwhp. 503 rwtq. with the chip/pulley/cold air intake. Couple of months later I decided to put an o/r prochamber and Flowmaster 3" cat back. From the cat-back I realized that my low end felt weak, not as responsive. And when at wot the car just hesitated and started shaking really bad. Note that I had this set up during the winter when the temperatures were nice and cold. I figured that I needed to re tune my car but wanted to wait when the long-tubes go in during the summer. I was told by my tuner that it may be running lean up top from the exhaust flow and may be causing the car to run like that. Now I replaced the 3" flowmaster kit with the Mac 3" kit, and the car runs quicker than before. Better low end throttle response and revs up quicker. The car never felt this strong before. Feels like I gained about 50hp. My problem is why do both 3" exhaust set ups differ so much in performance? This is my 4th exhaust set up. I went from bassani cat back to welded in magnapacks to flowmaster 3" and now Mac flowpaths 3" kit. MAC 3" BY FAR THE BEST SOUNDING AND BEST PERFORMANCE.
