Calling all the MGW shifter owners!! In here

Had mine at about 7-8 and would miss 3rd every now and then and I never missed a gear til that. Moved it to 6oclock and its fine now.

wow, a few ringing endorsements, but more disappointment than I anticipated reading

how many here wish they would have kept the factory shifter? :shrug:

I would NEVER go back to the factory shifter! Its a Cobra not a Semi Truck!

hmm, I did buy this car used and I haven't had a cobra since my '98 car. This 04 car shifts dramatically better than the 98 car (t45) and the shifter even somewhat centers over the 3-4. Maybe I need to pop the cover and make sure I don't already have an aftermarket shifter installed :shrug: :uh oh:

you should be able to just "push up" with your palm and hit 3rd. No grabbing.

Im having problems with the 2-3 shift..tonight being the most recent. It went back into 1st at WOT..its a scary thing. I need to try moving the shifter also, plus some more seat time wouldnt hurt.

I have mine at 0 oclock....took the damn thing out after missing too many 2-3 shifts.

I would say the Pro 5.0 at 6 oclock works the best
