The SR-71 is such an awesome aircraft. There is one in Kalamazoo, MI at the air zoo

I've seen it. I don't think the picture is anything other than an artists concept. Those inlets are all wrong, it seems to me. And the engines are too close to the fuselage, there would be all kinds of turbulent interactions near and around the inlets. But there are some very bright boys and girls working on this, so I'm probably wrong. But I bet I'm not.

Did you hear about this one? An SR-72!!! Who woulda thunk it?

Well their X-51 flew hypersonic 4yrs ago so gotta figure they're much farther along now with that type of program. Looking forward to the next great thing from the Skunk Works.
