So over this summer im looking to install a new set of completely setup heads and looking at doing cams at the same time. Everyone suggest degreeing the cams which ill do myself but i was looking at buying cam gears that allow you to change the degree since it has multiple key-ways on them.

Every set i see that are sold only have the adjustble gear on the intake side and not the exhaust side. Is degreeing only done on the intake side? Im just confused since any video you watch they do intake and exhaust.

You have 2 ways of doing the exhaust cams, grind the Keyways or Trick Flow crank gears.

There is about 2-5 degrees of slop in factory gears. If you need more, you need to do either of the above. It is very time consuming to do, guess and check is how I’d refer to it. I can’t recommend a crank socket enough. You find TDC once and do not move the wheel. This will save you so much time and accuracy.
