So i live roughly 30-40 minutes from Dearborn and i saw a painted camo mule driving around yesterday. Struck me as odd. No badges. Only thing that seemed different was the turn indicators were not sequential.

Is it normal for cars already in production to have mules driving around?

Nip/tuck refresh rumoured for the 2017/18MY. Should coincide with the introduction of the 10-speed auto, and maybe a tweaked Coyote, if the rumours are true.

I guess any engine/transmission testing could be done in "old" S550 mules, but if there's heavy camo, you'd assume it's sheet metal changes, too.

Was the camo just the black n white "cow camo" or was it heavy duty coverings front n rear? As you described it as "painted", I assume it'll be the former, so quite possibly an old mule testing new transmission/engine updates.

Please keep your camera at the ready at all times and be sure to report back here
