So, the cobra has a Canton expansion tank.. I noticed that it bleeds out fluid from the cap with just squeezing the upper hose... Hmm.. odd.. Figure the cap is bad, car has 70K.. go to the garage and take the cap off the other cobra.. same cap just 66k miles less... screw it on same thing.. wtf...
call canton up on monday.... they say you need to use the newer cap.. guess ford updated the cap/part number.. ok.. order one up from the local dealer (motorcraft rs527).. go to screw it on.. won't even go three full turns before it starts clicking.. what the???.. check the threads on the cap and the neck. looks good.. hmm.. put a dab of grease on the top of the neck to check and see it is sealing.. fail.. cap clicks before it seals.. wtf..
so look over at a GT that is at the shop that has a Moroso tank.. shit you not that all caps seal perfectly fine on that tank... the only cap that works on the canton is a used Ching chong chang one from vatozone that doesn't click.. wtf!!!!
