car doesn't want to idle on cold starts

I rarley drive my 01 maybe once every 2-3 weeks or so, and here latley, whenever i go to start it, it starts, revs to about 2k or so, and then shuts back off. Try it again, same thing. It will stay running after you hold the gas at 2k or so for a 5-10 seconds. What could be the problem?
