· Del Mar, CA: Goodguys Sixth Annual Del Mar Nationals; Starting on March 31st, this will feature over 2,000 street rods, customs, classics, muscle cars and street machines manufactured through 1972. This huge automotive event has something for everyone including hot rod seminars for adults, and a model and pedal car show for kids with a play zone. Inside the exhibit halls of the Del Mar Fairgrounds, an "Invitation Only" indoor car show will be held in a commercial exhibit area featuring over 200 manufacturer and commercial exhibitors offering the latest products and services and accessories for custom car builders and collectors. Industry vendors will showcase automotive equipment in the Swap Meet and Car Corral where a collection of vehicles will be on display and for sale. On the final day of the event, one of the most prestigious awards on the Goodguys show circuit will be presented when the Street Rod d'Elegance will be awarded from the cream of the crop of the indoor car show. Television celebrity Bill "The Leadslinger" Hines and Norm Grabowski, creator of the Kookie Kar will be on hand all three days to meet attendees and will be honored as the 2006 Goodguys Hot Rod Heroes.
