ive seen quite a few mustangs with carbon fiber hoods that look great, including my own. it all depends how the rest of the car is set up

I've got one on my Rice Cobra and it blends in well. It all depends on what color Cobra you have.

+1 Bare (or gel-coated) carbon fibre looks pretty good on black cars, but if I was going to go to the trouble of making a proper one (i.e. C/F skins over a honeycomb core, to make it as light and stiff as is humanly possible) I'd paint it so it isn't obvious. But that mod is a long way down a long and expensive list!

I think CF hood might look cool on a yellow car like the OP's...

They are very expensive though. I think the weight savings is in the area of 30 pounds.
