Hey guys I just found that a local Pepboys carries both of these oils by the case.

I have heard the Castrol 0w-30 mentioned a lot but not the Mobile1 0w-20. How do they stack up against each other? I'm currently running 5w-20 Royal purple and both are about $1.20 cheaper per QT.

where are you guys getting the German spec these days?

A lot of the AutoZones now carring the German spec 0w-30. Its outstanding oil. I've used it to 5500 miles and my Balckstone oil analysis has revealed that I can go as far as 6500 with it. Protects the motor big time. I'd be more than happy to email you my oil analysis which is in Adobe format.

When AutoZone stopped carrying it in my area in 2007 I would order it from the following place in Idaho:

http://proformanceusa.com/

Oil comes through FedEx and takes about a week for delivery. Free shipping on orders over $50.

Care to explain?

Sure, take some M1 5w-20 after you drove your car in 90+ degree weather, and rub it over your fingers...

a 30 weight oil is just thicker and dosnt thin as much via offering more protection.

And to the people who say you will loose power running a more weight oil thats retarted.
