CEL turns off????

Well i finally have a chance to get a scanner for my CEL (came on about three weeks ago and MPG, Performance, drivability did not change) and the damn thing just went out BY ITSELF??!?!?!?!? Did the bulb burn out on the thing or is this common??

On the OBD II cars, the CEL can come off if the problem isn't detected any more. I assume this applies to the CSVT as well. My Jeep will throw the CEL if the gas cap isn't tight, but after it senses its tightened correctly, it'll shut off...
