Yes and I'm afraid one of them will just keep turning when it hits bottom. You can wobble them in the threads at any point short of tight now.

A simple thread turns tech, I like it.
I have never used a TQ wrench on any plug on anything. Including my mowers, etc and never had a issue.

Just curious which cylinder was it? My friend has a Mach 1 with the same problem. Bad cop cover gasket seal and it would leak water into the passenger rear cylinder and cause a mis.

yep, same one. passenger rear. I believe cylinder 4.

I also try to change mine while the engine is "cooler". not sure if a hot engine would change the aluminum expansion. Either way, it saves me from skin burns LOL

That's from water getting past the gasket on the plug cover. I would see a small amount on the passenger side closest to firewall. Before my plug removal I would rinse out all that stuff so when I removed the plug that shit wouldn't get into the cylinder.
