I know this might not be the right area but i thought u guys could give me some great insight..

Just recently purchased a 02 v6 mustang from my parents not to long ago. The throwout bearing is ridiculously loud and the car shifts poor. I will be changing the clutch/flywheel this weekend, have all oem parts. can you guys point me in the right direction on a HOW-TO or any great pointers ill need.

Things i KNOW for sure-
Pull starter
pull shifter from the top
pull the driveline
drop the crossmember
possibly unbolt exhaust?

Anything else?!

Nope...not the right place.

But yes, you'll have to pull the driveshaft and exhaust.

The trans and bellhousing weigh a little over 100#; maybe 135ish max. Be prepared with a jack or you can bench it up/down obviously.

You'll need seveal extensions and a wiggler to get to some of the upper bellhousing bolts. Helps to have long, bony fingers or a skinny friend available...there may be a little more room on a 3.8 though. The starter bolts...you're usually better off to rub a buuunch of extensions and come in from the front over the Kmember.

Couple links for ya.
