His "buy it now price" is 28K. Even so, it is a bit on the low side for a vert.

OK, I went to the end and saw that he set his reserve at 26K. This car is definitely a bargain.

How about that previously wrecked DSG 03 on e-bay? Only has 900 miles.....this car could go low.....I just don't think I could go for it even if it was a great bargain.

One thing everyone forgets is you shouldn't consider it trade in price versus sticker price. No one but the earliest adopters paid sticker.

When I bought my 10th I got a good deal, not great but almost $2000 off plus $2,500 rebate. My sticker was $36,500 so if you factor that in I paid $32,500

it's still a big hit but not as bad as you first think.

Also consider the guy who posted asking if he should buy a used 03 GT with 8,700 miles for $16,500. Right now if you can find one and get X-Plan an 03 GT Premiuim would cost like $18,700 brand spanking new. Not bad for a $25,000 plus sticker.

Go to trade/sell in a year and get $15,000 (guessing) 15,000/18,700 isn't so bad but 15,000/25000 sucks.

Even if you didn't get a rebate you have to factore versus the lower price someone paid rebates + X plan.

just my .02

I emailed the guy, and he said he paid sticker and has the documentaion to back it up. Talk about a great deal, I wonder if my wife needs a new car?

The guy says there are only 64 other redfire color verts made? The production numbers posted on this forum says there were 610 redfire verts made for 2003.

I check he is right, he stated in that color combination. That would be red tan tan.

NJCobra10th..I think your math is a bit fuzzy. When I bought my premium mineral grey, 5 speed, '02 GT, invoice was $23,125. Take way the $3000 rebates and you are still at $20,135. I know GTs went up just a bit since then.

I don't know how much X plan would deduct from that..or if X Plan is lower than invoice.

thats good compared to this bullsh*t, im tryin my hardest to get a 03 cobra so i find 1 at my fav dealership that prob get me in 1 if the deal is right, so i go and check it out its a TORCH RED cobra with 12000 miles on it. so from my previous looking, im guessing $26k to $29k max. no the sticker is $33,500, :loser: what a load of crap, i can get a new 1 for 35k!! y the hell would i pay almost 34k for a used cobra with no mods and 12k miles ?:bash:

My math is dead on. I almost bought an 03 GT but ended up with an 04 instead.

2003 Mustang Coupe GT
VIN: 1FAFP42X13F326775
X-Plan*:$23,283.76
Total MSRP: $25,140.00

Fullerton Ford, NJ.

So 23,283.76 - $4000 Rebate on 03's - $500 bonus XPlan Rebate =$18,783.76 nothing wrong with that math there. Yes that sticker price is lower than the one we bought whihc was $26,255

I believe you can get more for the car if you trade it in. so why sell it? I did a quick carfax, it came up clean.

The guy put 17,000 miles on a new car in less than 10 months. I would expect him to take a hit on the resale, even if it's a Cobra. Plus there are several new '03 verts still sitting on dealer lots that haven't sold yet. That doesn't help his cause either.

that price sounds about right to me

17k miles in 10 months!... that's almost half the factory warranty! Plus, I'd bet it isn't "showroom" anymore.

leftover '03 verts you could probably get for 33-33.5 if you find a good deal... so only 5k more for a non-titled, brand new cobra with double the warranty life...

Still not that bad a deal though
