CHIPS And Confusion**

[Fast03Cobra]

I am a little confused about putting a chip in this 03 Cobra. I have chipped 3 other cars (all normally aspirated).

1. Can I just add a chip?

2. Do I need to "tune" the car when adding a chip?


Keeping the PULLEY option aside. I understand that more psi's need to be tuned.

But for a simple K&N and chip... Maybe an x-pipe.... should I not be able to just add the Diablo chip?

Shouldn't be a problem.

00yellowr got a chip and I installed it a solid 3 weeks ago. A week later I went to L.A and picked up his bassani cat back. Then his Dr. Gas X pipe came in.

First thing that went on was the chip. Then the X, then the Bassani. The chip woke the car up. The X took care of the asthma. The Bassani put the car on steroids.

We went to the track last weekend and he started the day off with a 12.49@109, he missed fourth and coasted the last bit. For those of you that have ran your 03, you know how far that is.

He got his mph later on really close if not at 115! A bunch of 114s. If I remember right, he was cutting 2.0-2.1 60's ALL DAY.
