Chrome lugs falling apart- whats up?

Washing my 03 sunday- get to the right front wheel and three of the lugs are missing the chrome caps. I did not even realize these are two piece lugs - never paid any attention I guess. Is this a common problem with these lugs? No problem on any of the other wheels, just the one wheel with three missing.

Where a good source on some REAL chrome lugs?

Yep..they're junk. Worst part is that the nut underneath is a different size. If you get a flat, you can;t get some of the nuts off!

My GTS had the same "capped" nuts. I got a set of McGard lugnuts and have them on all my cars..even the trailer. They are guaranteed to never rust or chip. They look largely the same as the Cobra ones. The only drawback is that they will be 3/4 not the factory size. I fixed this by getting one of those Gorilla wrenches. It has two sockets (with 4 sizes) and a handle that extends to give great leverage.

I buy my McGards from my local store, but I am sure you could get them where you are on on the internet.
