cigarette lighter button?

has anyone turned there cigarette lighter into a button? is that even possible? i'm swapping a viper spec t56 and am going to need a switch for the reverse lockout and was maybe thinking the cigarette lighter mod...

any other solutions/suggestions is always appreciated!

Yeah, anythings possible with a little fabrication and I've seen things much more difficult done than that. Heck, the holes already drilled and you can pick up switches and buttons at radio shack.

That said, I do believe there is a "button" I saw somewhere that's specifically designed to use that hole in the Mustang. It may be a universal size actually, as I know the actual lighter itself is usually the same diameter on most cars. I'll look and see if I can find something.

yeah, kinda! for some reason i though a lot of mustang guys have done this and they now made a kit...i'm clearly mistaken

Why not just tap into the brake wire for your signal like everyone else?

because then its actuated everytime you step on the break, which seems a little overkill...
