Hey Fellas,
I'm strongly considering an F-250 as my next DD/Work Truck. After reading around, some questions came to mind and I figured i'd see what you all had to say.
My understanding is that there is a big push for Clean Diesel Technology, and Ford is answering that call with the 2008 Powerstroke. This brings up a couple questions:
1. Will the 6.4 Powerstroke only run on Ultra Low Sulfur fuel?
2. Will the Ultra Low Sulfur fuel result in reduced engine life/longevity?
3. Are there actually incentives for purchasing a vehicle with Clean Diesel Technology, along the same lines as the tax break/rebates that hybrid owners may see?
Additionally, Considering recent anti-polution legislation is it a wise idea to wait for the 2008 F-250 to come out rather than take advantage of the current incentives on 06 leftovers and 07 models?
Wow, this is an awfully deep thread for 2:18am.. Thanks for your input!
