Cleaning Buffing Pads?

How do you guys clean your pads after using them?

I've been told soap and water will work, but I've been looking into getting the XMT Pad Care Combo from autogeek.

Thats what i use it works well but i also use simple green[cut 2-1]when my pads get real dirty and caked on.

Clean Detailing Pads

The best thing to clean a whool pad with, is a striker (which you can find on detailing websites). Also you can wash them and dry them in your machines, but after a couple times of washing the velcrow doesnt stick as well. If you are using a foam pad I recommend a damp rag and let it ride on the wheel (be careful and dont let the rag get caught around the wheel....small rag). Then follow with a dry rag.

I wash my pads in the sink with hot water and an all purpose cleaner. I let them soak a bit, then scrub them with my hands or a soft brush. I rinse them well and wring out the water. I then place them foam side out in the washing machine and run a spin cycle. That gets most of the water out. They then air dry on a towel.
