Cleaning the intercooler

What do you guyes recomend for cleaning the intercooler?? I have mine off while my SC is being ported and its DIRTY! would it be safe just to spray some brake cleaner on it?

Brake cleaner and a bucket of water!

I used just brake cleaner on mine (and sprayed it with a hose after), but on Sambandit's I used brake cleaner combined with soapy water in a utility sink...I think that did a much better job because the water ended up with two cans of brake cleaner in it...

Move it up and down in the water/soap/brake cleaner combo and you're good...

Just be sure to rinse thoroughly...
