Clock disassembley ???????

Does anyone know how the clock on top of the dash on a 96 or 97 Cobra can be taken apart. I looked at it but don't see any screw holes or anything like that. I see it looks like it is two pieces but don't want to try and pry it apart and break it. Mine is painted red and I would like to make that go away by either replacing it or repainting it. Any help would be appreciated.

Just remove from the dash, mask off the lense and spray it in 1 piece.

IIRC just lift and push gently toward the front of the car. there are clips, no screws/bolts.

OK is there an electrical plug of some kind to power the clock?

Yes, remove the clock as mentioned above and you'll see the plug. it's pretty straight forward.

if you use a razorblade, you can slice the tabs that hold the lense in place and painting will be easier, then a dab of superglue gel will hold it back in.
