What clutches outside of the RST or RXT are people running that allows for consistent 7800 rpm shifting? Looking to run nitrous in a few months after I break in the clutch. Right now making north of 450 to the wheels on my cobra jet set up.

Ideally I need great street quality, minimal clutch chatter and noise, and with those in mind the best available price since things can get pricy quick. Gonna switch my clutch line as well :)

Wait until the holidays for a McLeod sale if you're worried about the current price. They usually do a 15 or 20% off deal.

Buy the RST or RXT they are pricey, but I've had an exedy 500, spec 3+, factory and now an RXT, and the RXT is the only one that has allowed me to shift at 7500+ rpms with zero issues. It's worth it for the life of your transmission.

Jvibe, we would recommend taking a look at our DYAD clutches. They shave a considerable amount of weight compared to the stock system (sometimes 20+lbs), which makes a huge improvement in acceleration and high-rpm performance. The organic friction discs in the DYAD also engage very smoothly like stock, so driving around town is a breeze!

I am running the CJ manifold+FBO+Nitrous and just had the Exedy Mach 500 stage 3 grooved clutch installed. It is maybe 10% stiffer than the stock clutch. I mean it's hardly noticeable at all. The engagement is also in the exact same place as the stock one too.

So far it is holding 7500+rpm shift perfectly. My stock clutch would lock me out of anything over 7k, now it slides in like you just spat on it.

LMFAO :D Wicked looking flywheel, is that also Exedy?

Yes, Exedy lightened steel. You can use the stock one, just make sure you have a dowel puller, usually a slide hammer type contraption. The pressure plate uses smaller dowels then the OEM ones that are already on the flywheel. The dowels are in the box with the clutch.
